I've been having a blast working on these Star Wars mini pieces. I'm just now finishing up another set of three that are going to be very popular. I have no idea when they will be available for preorders.
This post features the art on the second package of the Star Wars Legacy Miniatures boxes…the ever
popular Boba Fett! Would someone donate some Star Wars props please?! Yes, that's me, and yes I am a cheap model. Seriously …wait until you see what I use for a light saber.
O.k. so below we have the art director's short description of what they were looking for and then I took it from there.
ART DESCRIPTION:
Boba Fett:
We want to see him looking back at us from over his shoulder with a Bad Ass attitude. Not sure, but helmet off might be a good way to go with this one, unless we can communicate that in the pose somehow. Of course, weapon in hand.
They did decide they wanted the helmet on. I worked up the sketch and submitted it. It was approved and then I went on to the final.The final illustration was painted with acrylic and colored pencil and the size was about 9×19".
Lots and lots of dead space…do you just feel as free as an eagle?
