Up for auction is a NEW condition “Basandra, Battle Seraph” playmat– one of the most popular selling playmats, while they were in print. This is the first time Terese has hand-embellished one of these. All the gold areas of this playmat have been gilded giving it a rich, luminous feel. (See the long description below showing the video of this being done.)
The playmat is 24 x 13.5” printed on a vibrant polyester cloth surface. The back of the mat is a dense black, 1/8″ sponge-rubber, non-skid base. If you missed this when they were still available in the store this is a great opportunity to snag one.

We don’t know exactly what process causes this phenomena but with any bulk order some playmats (shipped straight from the manufacturer) would arrive with odd discolorations, scuffs or markings on the back (non-skid) side. No amount of Windex or prayer seems to remove this. Despite its pristine frontside (because of the minute, scuffed-up, rubber, side) the playmat was removed from the “perfect condition” versions, which were sold in the store. Now that the “Basandra” playmats are long out of stock and still regularly sought after we figured it’d make a great auction candidate.
